In 2013, this producer planted a mixture of Red proso millet, Dwarf Essex rapeseed, common vetch, brown flax, Peredovik sunflowers, Mancan buckwheat, crimson clover and Jackhammer radishes in this field.
In 2014, he continues with an eye towards improving soil health. Five fields were planted with various crops for this project. The cover crops used were peas, turnips, radishes, barley, canola, millet, sunflowers, flax and vetch.
